MAY 2022, NEW WATERCOLOR AVAILABLE: Debra is pleased to present her newest watercolor, "Courtyard Summer." This floral display originated during the COVID summer when all of us experienced the unexpected limitations of quarantine. During such times, it's reassuring to find beauty close to home, in the planters on the courtyard filled with summer blooms and foliage. MARCH 2022, NEW CARD AVAILABLE: As waves crash on the shore, tiny sanderlings scurry along the wet sand. These birds seem to love letting the waves come close before their black legs race away from the water's edge. What better name than "Wave Dodgers" -- now available in our Marketplace.
AUGUST 2021, THE EDMONDS ARTS FESTIVAL JURIED ART SHOW: After skipping last year due to COVID, the community welcomed the return of this signature event, August 27th-29th. Debra's watercolor "Atop Cathedral Hill" was accepted into the juried art show -- and was among the works purchased by enthusiastic fans of the arts.

Not only is this Debra's first showing at the Red Twig, but it's also the first exhibition of her work reproduced as prints on canvas. MARCH 2020, NEW WATERCOLOR ANNOUNCED: Just in time for spring, Debra has recently completed her newest watercolor, "Skagit Splendor," vividly capturing one of the most beautiful sights in the Pacific Northwest: the patchwork glory of the Skagit Valley tulip fields.
NOVEMBER 2019, NEW WATERCOLOR ANNOUNCED: Debra is pleased to announce that her newest watercolor, "Atop Cathedral Hill," is now available in greeting cards and prints. This tranquil hilltop scene places the viewer above the beautiful Ebey's Landing on Whidbey Island, aglow in the light of the western sun.
In other news: During November 2019, Debra had two of her newest watercolors, "Atop Cathedral Hill" and "Fanfare," on display at the Cafe Louvre at 210 5th Avenue S. in downtown Edmonds. She's proud to share the exhibition with fellow students of Joan E. Archer.

At the close of a busy summer and the beginning of fall, Debra was pleased to have her newest watercolor, "Sidewalk Salsa," accepted for exhibition at the Arts of the Terrace Juried Art Show which took place September 21st through October 5th at the Mountlake Terrace Library. JUNE 2019, NEW WATERCOLOR ANNOUNCED: Just in time for summer in Edmonds, Debra is pleased to announce that her latest watercolor, "Sidewalk Salsa," is now available in greeting cards and prints. Anyone familiar with Edmonds should be able to recognize this sun-drenched sidewalk scene! "Sidewalk Salsa" transports the viewer into the heart of Edmonds' charming downtown district.
In other breaking news: Debra is pleased to announce that "Fresh Pie," released last October, has been accepted into the Juried Art Show at the 2019 Edmonds Art Festival. This prestigious annual festival is one of the most popular arts events in the Pacific Northwest and attracts a huge and enthusiastic crowd to the Francis Anderson Center in downtown Edmonds over Father's Day Weekend. MAY 2019, EXHIBIT AT MOUNTLAKE TERRACE LIBRARY: Debra's artwork was featured in a solo exhibit at the Mountlake Terrace Library during the entire month of May. This marks her second opportunity to display at this location. The library is located at 23300 58th Avenue West.
APRIL 2019, NEW WATERCOLOR ANNOUNCED: Debra's newest watercolor is appropriately titled "Fanfare." Think of it as a fanfare for spring, with a full calendar of community art events in the coming months (stay tuned later this month for updates). "Fanfare" is now available in cards and prints.

JUNE 2018, EDMONDS ART FESTIVAL AND JURIED ART SHOW: This annual celebration of the arts took place June 15-17, 2018, in downtown Edmonds, Washington. Debra Bollen was pleased to have two watercolors, "Sunflower Abstract No. 2" and "Swift Sunrise," accepted at one of the most prestigious art shows and festivals in the Pacific Northwest.
